01 / REGOLAZIONESetpoint
It is the target value set in the control, such as the desired cold-room temperature. It is not always the temperature really measured: differential, delays, night logic, alarms and consents influence the behaviour of the plant.
Basically: setpoint, temperature probe value and output status before editing.
02 / REGOLAZIONEDifferential / hysteresis
It is the band that separates ignition and shutdown from the setpoint. Avoid too frequent switching. An incorrect band can cause fluctuations or operating times not consistent with the load.
Basically: read it in the controller's manual, do not consider it a universal number.
03 / MISURAtemperature probe and offset
The temperature probe transforms a physical size into a signal for the controller. A non-representative reading can depend on location, configured type, contact, wiring, moisture or offset, i.e. a correction applied to value.
Basically: always compares with an independent measure at the same point and after stabilization.
04 / SCAMBIO TERMICOEvaporator
It is the heat exchanger that absorbs heat from the air or from the product. airflow, frost, cleaning, cooling power supply, sfrost and thermal load determine the real capacity.
Basically: first observes air and battery; then interprets pressure and temperatures.
05 / SCAMBIO TERMICOCondenser
It is the exchanger that gives the heat of the circuit to air or water. Dirt, recirculation, ventilation, water flow and ambient temperature directly influence condensation.
In practice: check the exchange before attributing the problem to the cooling charge.
06 / CICLODefrost
It is the cycle that removes the ice from the evaporator. It can be electric, hot or natural gas and requires a correct sequence of permissive, energy, temperature probe end cycle, drainage and delay fans.
Basically: a longer time is not automatically a solution; to understand if the cycle really produces the expected effect.
07 / MEASURESSuperheat
It is the difference between real temperature of steam and saturation temperature obtained from pressure at the same point. It helps to read evaporator power and compressor protection, but should be interpreted in the context of the system.
In practice: pressure and temperature must refer to the same functional tract.READ THE COMPLETE GUIDANCE →
08 / MEASURESSubcooling
It is the difference between the liquid saturation temperature and the real temperature of the liquid line. It is useful together with the superheat to read power stability and circuit behaviour.
In practice: do not use only one value to decide on the charge.READ THE COMPLETE GUIDANCE →
09 / PROTEZIONEPressure switch
It is a device that opens, closes or reports in relation to pressure. It can perform a safety function or permissive. Calibration, differential, connection and pcapacity point must be consistent with the unit scheme.
Basically: do not bridge it to restart the machine.
10 / POTENZAContact
It is a control organ that feeds a load, like compressor or resistors, through a coil. The request from the controller does not guarantee alone that the load receives correct voltage.
Basically: compares tension upstream and downstream, preferably in the condition of the defect.
11 / AZIONAMENTODrives
The drive adjusts speed and operation of the engine by varying frequency and voltage according to parameters and consents. Alarm code, firmware, control input, motor plate, load and cooling are part of the same diagnosis.
In practice: note the event before reset and consult the exact family manual.OPEN THE DRIVE HUB →
12 / COMUNICAZIONEModbus
It is an industrial communication protocol used between controllers, supervisors and tools. Address, speed, parity, wiring, polarity and terminations must be consistent across the network.
Basically: changes one variable at a time and always keeps the initial configuration.
13 / CIRCUITORefrigerant charge
It is the quantity and condition of the refrigerant provided for the plant. It should not be treated as an immediate correction of an abnormal pressure: Before checking conditions, exchange, load, measures and possible losses under applicable procedure.
In practice: an isolated pressure does not allow to declare the exhaust or overload circuit.
