In HVAC/R work a tool is judged in a few minutes, often at the least favorable moment: at altitude, in front of a condensing unit, with a difficult connection or during a failed search. This is why the REFTHE catalogue does not start from the price or from an absolute ranking. Start from the task: which operation should I perform, in which space, with which safety margin and with what continuity of service?
The system is more important than the single machine body
A screwdriver can have a high torque but not be the best choice if it introduces weight, vibrations or batteries incompatible with the rest of the park. A professional works with chargers, spare batteries, tips, spare parts and assistance. The evaluation should therefore be done on the complete system: local availability, charging times, ergonomics, accessories and repairability.
Manual tools: visible precision
Keys, pliers, screwdrivers and compasses continue to determine the quality of the finish. In refrigeration, proper access to the connection and the expected torque can count more than speed. For electrical works, markings and tool integrity are important, but do not eliminate the rules to work safely on a plant. Before using an insulated tool, you must apply the procedure provided for in the context.
